Every woman goes through difficult times in their life and can benefit from others who have gone through similar experiences and have overcome that season in their life. Our counseling volunteers are lay women who have gone through an extensive training program in order to be there for you – to listen and provide perspective on your personal situation. The training that we receive has been endorsed by the American Association of Christian Counselors and is offered in the Master program at Moody Bible Institute.

client intake iconOne-on-one peer counseling will provide you with individual and private sessions with your own counseling volunteer. Once you have completed the client intake form the Rapha Center director will review your specific needs and pair you with a woman who best relates and can empathize with what you are going through.

You will receive a phone call from your counseling volunteer before the first session. She is the one who will schedule the appointment with you based on your mutual availability. Each peer counseling session is scheduled for one hour.

When you arrive at the Center, let the receptionist know you have an appointment with whoever your counseling volunteer is. You do not have to tell the receptionist your name. Your counseling volunteer will meet you in the reception area and walk with you to a private room.

There will be some forms you will need to complete at the first visit. These are required forms for all clients. Once these are completed your counseling volunteer will ask you to share about what is going on in your life and what goals you want to accomplish through counseling.

There is no limit to the number of sessions you may have. There is no charge for counseling services.

You may download the forms by clicking the client intake form on this page or by stopping by the Rapha Center for Women’s Ministries, Inc.  to complete an application.
